On board

Four guests, two crew

A working expedition, not a cruise. You stand watch, take a turn in the galley and run the science: ocean, plankton, whales, sea ice and weather, for the scientists who need the data.

Coastal legs

No sailing experience needed.

Ocean legs

Some time on the water helps.

Polar legs

By application, with a medical declaration and evacuation insurance.

Every guest joins a short preparation course in Norway.

Questions

Before you join

When do legs open?
Once Meridian Polar AS is a member of Reisegarantifondet. We plan to open the Inaugural Season in 2028 and World Voyage preregistration on 7 June 2030. The register hears first.
What will it cost, and is my money safe?
Prices come when each leg opens, and we take no payments before then. Before any payment we will be members of Reisegarantifondet, the Norwegian travel guarantee fund.
Do I need sailing experience?
Not on coastal legs. Ocean and polar legs suit people with some time on the water, and every guest joins a preparation course in Norway.
What if ice closes the Northwest Passage?
Each Passage leg has a written alternative route and clear credit terms. The Passage is an attempt, not a timetable.
